Five New Rides for the Island in Pigeon Forge!

Update from 10/14/22 - The Island posted on Facebook, a video of the Nebulaz up and running.  I am assuming it's still in the testing and commissoning phase, but I would expect it to open in the very near future.

Hi Everyone,

The Island in Pigeon Forge has made an announcement on Facebook that it is adding five new rides to the entertainment complex!  Based off the picture, I immediately recognized this one as a Zamperla Nebulaz ride.

These have been popping up in parks all over the world in the last several years.  It's sort of like a Ferris Wheel when it comes to loading and unloading, in that half the ride will be up high in the air while the lower half of the ride loads and unloads.  This type of ride provides lots of near-miss action, tons of spinning around on the arms themselves, and then the whole ride rotates - so lots and lots of spinning.  You can see one in action in the video below.

As far as the other new rides go, Screamscape has a report from Coaster Chit Chat with several pictures of the concrete pads for what's to come.  One looks like some type of track ride, which I imagine is for the kiddos....the rest, no idea.  Zamperla makes so many different types of rides its impossible for me to guess.  But I am sure we'll know soon enough, and I'll keep you posted with updates.
